Cassels in Road America

The IMSA WeatherTech driver, Cameron Cassels, had a successful weekend at Road America this past weekend driving in the WeatherTech race and the Lamborghini Super Trofeo races.

The weekend started with Cameron running the Prestige Performance #33 Lamborghini Huracan Evo in the Super Trofeo series. He ran speedy lap times all through Practice, Qualifying and Races. Cameron brought the car home for a P3 spot in both Qualifying sessions on Saturday. He had a clean Race #1 on Saturday and made his step onto the podium for a solid P3 finish. Cameron improved for Race #2 on Sunday to bring the car home on the top step of the podium for a P1 finish in class and a P5 finish overall.

On the WeatherTech side of the paddock, Cameron quickly adjusted from the Lamborghini and went to work. After finishing Race #2 of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Race he jumped into the Performance Tech Motorsports LMP2 #38 car for the start of the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship race.

After an uneventful start, Cameron was able to stretch out a 44 second lead in class and was within .050 of second of the fastest lap in class before handing the car over to his team mate James French. Unfortunately James suffered from a right rear tire puncture that ultimately relegated us to a P2 finish.
